Whether you're observing iftar or simply cooking for neighbors and friends who are, this is the moment for meals that honor both the occasion and the season ahead. We've curated recipes that celebrate this week's best deals and make Eid special.
This silky, lemony red lentil soup is absurdly simple: onions, lentils, a sneaky potato that makes it creamy (no dairy needed), a hit of cumin, and enough lemon to make every spoonful pop. Blend it smooth, top it with crispy fried pita chips and fresh parsley, and serve with lemon wedges on the side so everyone can make it as bright as they want. Ready in 30 minutes, costs about 50 cents a bowl, and tastes like home.
